My History
Around the age of 15 my grandfather got me my first gun. Hunting has a big deal in my family, so this continued to keep me interested in guns. Collecting guns and shooting continued throughout my life. Guns became a big part of my life.
As my life progressed, I enlisted in the US Navy at the age of 18 and spent 8 years as a submarine radioman. 6 ½ years I spent on 2 different submarines, the USS Pintado (SSN 672) and the USS Parche (SSN 683).
After my enlistment I moved to Missouri and worked in the computer field.
In 2012 I took a contractor position in for the US Navy as computer forensic analyst. During this time, I deployed to Afghanistan to help with the war effort.
After that adventure I move to Arizona in 2014 and continued my career.
Now I'm venturing out with Bar-K Gunworks. One of our goals is to help people achieve their goals with their personal self-protection and firearms training. As a certified NRA instructor, I’m qualified to teach the following NRA courses: Refuse to be a Victim, Basic Pistol, Basic Rifle, Metallic Case Reloading and various other educational courses.
We can help you bring an independent assessment value guns and coins for insurance appraisals, tax purposes or just to know the value of what you have. I've been certified as a Gun Appraiser by AGI (American Gun Institute).
We can also perform basic maintenance on your firearms. If it’s a basic clean or a full striped down clean and lube. Lack of maintenance is one of the biggest causes of firearm malfunction.
