Bar-K Appraisals
Gun and numismatic appraisals are estimates based on an inspection of the item or set. I give my estimate to the best of my ability without any bias. I will not make an offer on any item that I have appraised. Should the seller wishes to sell their items I will recommend some businesses that may be interested in purchasing some of the items. After I’ve completed the appraisal, the customer may come to me and request information about if I’m interested in purchasing the items. No action will be taken on my behalf to purchase any of the items appraised.
Gun appraisals will be conducted reviewing every firearm requested. Each firearm will have their own appraisal sheet and estimate on their value.
Coin appraisals will be conducted by evaluating and individual coin if the value is initially estimated over $100.00. All slabed coins (IE graded by PCGS in a holder) will be appraised individually. Coin sets, for example a Lincoln penny collection in an album, will be evaluated as a set. When evaluating a set a listing will be made for coins present in the set. The set will then be evaluated by the key dates, semi-key dates and common dates for value. A rough grade will be made for all key date and semi-key dates and appraised accordingly. Common dates will be evaluated as group. An average grade will be determined and the value will be based on the number of common coins in the average grade.
